America Needs A Plan (ANAP) is an outreach effort with the sole objective of persuading key members of the U.S. executive branch to enact a formal, structured, effective and recurring national strategic planning process.

This is an apolitical initiative.  In fact, if implemented effectively the process itself could do more than any other action to help each administration - Democrat or Republican -  rise above the current fragmented and partisan governing process. 

How?  By superseding the current Congressional-led budgeting process with a true top-down planning process that establishes national priorities, sets goals and timetables, and defines programs to support the achievement of those goals.  Congress's role would continue to be one of funding, but of funding a cohesive national plan instead of a disjointed and politically driven multitude of short-term driven initiatives.

This website is intended to be a platform to attract the support of concerned U.S. citizens who recognize and endorse the need for a U.S. strategic plan and to offer ideas and support to help make it happen.  It includes forums for members or visitors to share ideas on how best to define this strategic planning role and function, how best to implement it, and how to reach key influencers to make it happen.  This initiative is not intended to be a thought exercise; it is a problem solving, results-oriented effort.

There is no cost to participate....All are welcome to share their ideas and provide their support to accomplish our one goal: implementation of a national strategic plan.
